ARTS AWARD - BRONZE LEVEL
09.30-11.00
AGES 11-14
The Bronze Arts Award is a nationally recognised Level 1 qualification, managed by Trinity College London, designed for young people aged 11–25. It is broadly equivalent to GCSE grades 3–1/D–G standard and introduces students to creative practice, research, reflection, and leadership through the arts.
Students can take a fully art- or textiles-based approach, focusing on areas such as drawing, painting, printmaking, fashion, embroidery, surface pattern, mixed media, ceramics, or textile design. The qualification is flexible and portfolio-based, allowing students to develop highly personal creative projects.
To achieve Bronze Arts Award, students build a portfolio showing evidence of:
actively taking part in an art form
attending and reviewing an arts event or exhibition
researching an artist, designer, or craftsperson
sharing an arts skill with others through a small leadership activity.
There is no final exam. Bronze Arts Award helps students develop creativity, confidence, communication, independent learning, and practical leadership skills while encouraging engagement with the wider arts world.
ARTS AWARD - SILVER
